Since the late 70's Jackson has been releasing guitars that have rocked the world! This small repair shop in Japan expanded into one of the most influential guitars brands that has become a staple in heavy metal and hard rock all over the world. A lot of Jackson's initial success can be traced back to a fateful meeting with the iconic Randy Rhodes. Founder Grover Jackson had acquired the Charvel brand in 1978, and soon after Rhodes approached him with an idea for a new, one-of-a-kind guitar. The guitar, as almost any aficionado could tell you, became Randy's legendary Concorde, an incredibly amped up revamp of the Flying V. With a look that was unlike anything Charvel had released, it was only fitting that Jackson release the guitar under his own name.
Randy Rhodes may be the first big name to play Jackson, but he is definitely not the last. Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Phil Collen of Def Leppard, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Robbin "King" Crosby of RATT, Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden, and more have all done some serious shredding on Jackson guitars throughout the years.
Recent years have seen Jackson continuing to flourish, with all of the company’s most famous models—custom and production series alike—enjoying great success. Jackson signature instruments have also come into their own, with magnificent models bearing top metal names such as Chris Broderick of Megadeth, Corey Beaulieu of Trivium, David Ellefson of Megadeth, Phil Collen of Def Leppard, Mark Morton of Lamb of God, Phil Demmel of Machine Head, Chris Beattie of Hatebreed, Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden and many others. Further, the Jackson Custom Shop remains the longest-operating true custom shop in the United States, with many members of its original staff still there and still doing what they do best—providing axe-wielding metallurgists worldwide with world-class high-performance instruments that have no equal.
Other Classic models such as the Kelly, King V, Double Rhoads, Soloist, Dinky, and Concert Bass, and the iconic Warrior are all absolute beasts. It doesn't matter what genre of metal you play, wether its Nu Metal, Rap Metal, or Death Metal, Jackson covers all of your head-banging needs. Be part of the Blood line!
