For sale we have one of my favorite guitars that has ever passed through the shop: a 1960 Fender Jazzmaster. The guitar has been professionally refretted and plays incredibly well with nice comfortable low action. When we acquired the guitar the frets were worn down to nothing, so we had it refretted and replaced the chipped up, poorly slotted, nut with a perfectly shaped and slotted bone nut. We also added an easily removable StewMac .25 degree neck shim to the pocket to unlock really low action. Without the shim the guitar can get down to about 4/64 action with the bridge bottomed out, so we added the shim just to give more adjustment room on the bridge height. This is now an incredible playing guitar and is ready for another 70 years of playing.

The pots, pickups, pickguard, and electronics are all original and function without any issues. The brass shields below the pickups have been removed from the guitar by the previous owner

The pots date to the 52nd week of 1959. (137952)

The body pencil mark under the bridge pickup is 1/60. This dates the body routing to January 1960

There is NO pencil mark on the neck heel which is to be expected for Jazzmasters made between late 1959 and very early in 1960. The Brazilian Rosewood slab board is nice and thick

The body has a fair share of dings and scrapes, but is quite clean overall. The pickup selector switch tip is unoriginal and the guitar does not have the original trem arm.

The guitar comes with its original hardshell case that is quite worn.

The guitar is available in our showroom. If you are interested in going over the guitar with a fine tooth comb in person or via video chat let us know and we can disassemble and blacklight the guitar with you to make sure you can check that every aspect of the guitar is to your liking.
