Vemuram is a boutique pedal company based out of Tokyo that has been making some of the most desirable pedals on the market. All of their pedals are made specifically for gigging musicians, and they certainly live up to that principle! Vemuram pedals let musicians express their own unique sound through their unorthodox design and playability. Vemuram is known for making pedals that not only preserve the original tone of the guitar and amplifier that are being used, but it actually adds an organic and natural harmony to the tone.
Back in 2012 Vemuram took the world by storm when they released the ultra-popular Vemuram Jan Ray. It quickly became a must have for guitarists all over the world. It gained a reputation for being a transparent overdrive that that is perfect for low to mid gain sounds. They have also teamed up with Josh Smith to create the super popular Myriad Fuzz, which offers as much fuzz as you could ever want with its dual transistor design.
Vemuram pedals are 100% hand built pedals! Every part of the pedal is put together by hand, the circuits are meticulously hand wired and placed specifically because the craftsmen at Vemuram know from experience that this is the only way to get the most out of your pedal. Vemuram also use an all brass body rather than the traditional aluminum casting. This is so the pedal does not have the static noise that sometimes comes along with other pedals, and this also makes the pedal incredibly sturdy. But what really sets Vemuram apart for the competition is the addition of the “Trimmer” control on all of their pedals. They realize that the ideal range of gain differs between musicians because of a multitude of factors: single coil or humbuckers, clean or overdrive channel on the amp, and the playing style of the guitarist. Vemuram recognizes that every guitarist is different so the “Trimmer” allows you to dial in your perfect tone no matter the genre!
