Guitar is clean overall and plays wonderfully with no issues. The guitar is currently setup with 10-59 D'Addarios in Standard tuning, but I think the multiscale lends itself to drop tunings really nicely so let us know if you have a specific setup request. The guitar is quite clean with some mild pick scratching in the clear coat on the top of the body and a few shallow scratches here and there on the back. No noticeable dings/dents/or damage. Comes with the original hardshell case and plays wonderfully!

In 2018 we will celebrate the official 10th anniversary of the SX Multiscale; a guitar that once polarized opinions with its unique features and ergonomics, which are now embraced by builders and players the world over.

Just over 10 years ago we created a handmade CustomShop guitar known as the SX Multiscale. An offset superstrat style guitar with a gorgeous carved top, and an innovative new fret layout we called Multiscale.

With an Alder body and Wenge neck (unheard of back in the day, only Warwick basses had seen Wenge being used), plus an African Ebony fretboard, and 29 frets, it was something new and fresh in the guitar industry.

The entire build of that first Multiscale (a term that was never used prior to this instrument) was documented on YouTube, to much discussion. Would it work? How would it work? And of course, the final product, straight from workshop to live gig.

What better way to celebrate 10 years of Multiscale, than to release a limited edition replica under the GTR Series. Whilst Platinum Pearl White Gloss was the original colour, it was always supposed to be  blue metallic, so we figured the time was right to see that version too. AND THEREFORE, the blue shall be called Forget-Me-Not Blue Metallic :D

For even the most avid tone chasers who demand versatility from their instruments, the NunchuckerA8 humbucker and Old School+ A2 single coil pickups designed in our custom shop deliver, with push/pull coil taps added for extra tonal variety. As with all our guitars, custom hardware is used for our bridge, locking tuners and controls, so you’ll stay blissfully in tune.

As with all GTR models, these instruments are built in partnership with our friends at World Musical Instrument Co. S. Korea.
