This incredible instrument marks Jackson’s first ever made-in-Corona flagship product line! The all new American Series “built for speed, precision and power, taking the best from Jackson design history to create an elite tool for the modern player.”
The American SL3 is made with only premium parts and is built for high performance! Every part of this guitar is designed to make you fly effortlessly across the fretboard with blistering playability. The 12”-16” radius with rolled ebony fretboard and a curved nut flattens out the neck for lightning fast playing as well as easy bends without the worry of fretting out! The result is no doubt making this one of the fastest guitars on Jacksons current roster!
A very welcome addition, for players that are used to playing on a stage, is Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots provide exceptional ease when flying across the fretboard on even the darkest of stages! 24 jumbo frets with the iconic inverse shark fin inlays make this axe a hard rock and heavy metal staple!
The American SL3 is made with an alder body, opposed to the basswood or poplar bodies on current SL3’s, and matched with a sustain enhanced through body three-piece maple neck that had a pair of graphite reinforcement rods for increased stability to resist temperature and humidity induced warping. Gotoh MG-T Locking Tuners also come standard on all American SL3 models to provide an extra layer of tuning stability and to make restringing significantly easier. The Floyd Rose 1500 series double locking tremolo bridge system is perfect for tuning stability, while also allowing for aggressive dive-bombs and wild guitar screams without having to worry about going out of tune.
Since everything about the SL3 is designed for speed, it only makes sense that it also has a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, which allows for quick access to set neck relief on the fly. No more worrying about having a screw driver to take the truss rod cover off, you can make adjustments as fast as your playing.
The pickup configuration is what really makes us excited. The HSS pickup configuration features a set of ultra-versatile Seymour Duncan pickups. The Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 bridge pickup is the ultimate hot rodded pickup, with a massive low end, while the Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP single coil middle and Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 neck pickup have a beautiful treble tone and scooped mids that work perfectly for any genre! The five-way blade pickup switch allows for ultimate tonal variety, and the simple single volume and tone knobs make for easy control.
Now let’s talk about just how beautiful these guitars look! They come in four striking colors, Gloss Black, Platinum Pearl, Riviera Blue, and Satin Slime Green, with color matched Jackson pointy headstocks. They also all have beautifully accented black hardware to really make the finishes pop even more! The writing on the headstock on the Platinum Pearl, Riviera Blue, and Satin Slime Green are in Black, and the writing on the Gloss Black finish is a striking white.
